I discovered my passion for silversmithing about four years ago. On returning from a few years living in Brazil in 2018 I attended an inspiring jewellery workshop in Liverpool and since then I can honestly say I have been hooked!

 

Art and design has been part of my life for many years, I studied Fine Art at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle, completed a City & Guilds in Photography and went on to a formal career in the arts. Working with internationally renowned artists was a privilege and I have always looked for a personal outlet for my creativity.

I am inspired by urban architecture, shadows and reflections and often use the photographs I have taken to inform new minimal shapes and textures in my pieces. I find my inspiration in every day life. Ordinary things creating extraordinary shapes, shadows and lines. 

 

Shadow & Line officially launched in Summer 2020. My workshop is in the heart of my home and it was there (in between home-schooling my two boys) that I discovered the joy of designing and creating my own bespoke pieces.

Along with the selection of pieces shown on the site, I also take commissions. I work in silver, gold and gold-filled so if you have a specific idea in mind, please drop me a line to discuss the art of the possible!
